Limen VIII-IX with Pablo González Balaguer

With the participation of Concept Store Quartet and other international musicians, the Theater De Regentes will present a unique program of experimental and avant-garde music.

The event will feature several renowned artists. The Concept Store Quartet, formed in Basel in 2018, will present a diverse program. This quartet includes violinist Alicja Pilarczyk, Spanish saxophonist Pablo González Balaguer, percussionist Jeanne Larrouturou, and accordionist Nejc Grm. They are known for exploring new sound textures through unconventional instrumentation.

The group collaborates closely with contemporary composers, premiering commissioned works and performing at major international festivals. Meanwhile, Ensemble Musique Nouveau, a wind duo from The Hague, will showcase their innovative approach by blending modern sound techniques, electronics, and classical music in their multidisciplinary creations.

The performance will take place at Theater De Regentes, a cultural venue in The Hague. Originally an indoor swimming pool, the theater was converted in 1995 after the municipality opted against demolition. Since then, it has become a key location for cultural activities, hosting a wide range of artistic disciplines, including theater, music, and dance. Known for its creative use of liminal spaces, the theater continues to be a cultural landmark in The Hague, providing a unique setting for experimental and interdisciplinary performances.
